Your Go-To Source for Math Tutoring
All you need to know!

I am so fiercely proud of my students! They come to me behind, frustrated and scared, but the focus and effort they bring humbles me. I am so lucky to be given the opportunity to work with the students who choose me.

  • When is tutoring available
    As of August 2021 I tutor ( all times are Arizona MST) Monday - 9AM - 7PM Tuesday - 9AM - 7PM Wednesday - 9AM - 7PM Thursday - 9AM - 7PM Friday - 1PM - 5PM Saturday/Sunday by appointment only and usually only to review for tests
  • How often should we have tutoring sessions?
The frequency of sessions depends on the student's needs and goals. If your student is behind in material or needs a good amount of support during a class, I recommend two weekly 1-hour sessions. For lower grade levels, 45-minute or 30-minute sessions may be more appropriate. If a student is motivated and needs the help, tremendous progress can be made with sessions three times per week. You can always adjust the frequency of sessions as required, and I provide an online scheduling system that makes signing up simple.
  • How does scheduling work?
For most students, we'll have sessions at the same time each week. We'll discuss this during our initial consultation, and we can also discuss changes to our schedule at any time. Some students prefer to schedule sessions on an as-needed basis. (Note this is only available for online students at this time.) An online scheduling system for these slots makes signing up simple and eliminates email/phone tag. However, if you don't see any availability, email, or text me, and I will see what I can do.
  • I need extra help this week. Are you available? How do I sign up for a session?
Great question! I use an online scheduler that shows my availability. Click here! You can sign up for a session, and it will take your payment via card at the time of scheduling. You can sign up with just a few hours' notice or up to two weeks in advance. Don't see a time that fits your schedule? Send me an email or text to see if I'm available.
  • What are your rates?
    My rates reflect my experience and the quality of service you will receive. 90-minute session – $90 60-minute session – $60 45-minute session – $45 30-minute session - $30
  • How does payment work?
For sessions that are scheduled as needed: payment is required by card at the time of scheduling. When you schedule online using the online scheduling system, it will automatically request your payment before you can confirm that you have scheduled a session. For regularly scheduled weekly sessions: You will be automatically charged monthly for the next month. We will set this up through the payment processor Square the first week. Any tutoring sessions missed per the cancellation policy will be refunded by pro-rating the following week, unless the student or parent requests otherwise.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
This business is my main source of income. That said, my cancellation policy is my very best attempt to balance fairness to the student and myself. Additionally, tutoring is a valuable commitment, and showing up to each tutoring session helps the student create momentum in their learning. I ask that you let me know about a cancellation as soon as possible. I require a 24-hour notice for a cancellation in order to not be charged. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice must be paid in full. Excessive cancellations may be a reason for ending tutoring services.
  • How do I get started?
Fill out the contact form, and I will be in touch shortly!
  • What subjects do you tutor? Can you help me in other subjects besides math?
Besides being a credentialed math teacher, I am a credentialed teacher in Language Arts, Social Studies, History, and can tutor you in all these subjects. Additionally, I was an accountant for 25 years and can tutor you in bookkeeping, accounting, and other business subjects
  • Can you help me prepare for the SAT/ACT/GRE?
I am no longer tutoring students to prepare for standardized tests (except the GED) specifically. There are many excellent online tutors who specialize in these tests, and I am happy to give you a referral.
